Republican Party Leadership

Kim's engagement in Minnesota's political landscape reflects a commitment to strengthening democratic institutions through active participation and principled leadership. She serves as Vice Chair of Minnesota Congressional District 5, working to build organizational capacity and engage citizens in the political process.

As a member of the Strategic and Leadership Team for the Minneapolis Republican Party, she contributes to developing approaches that can speak to the city's diverse communities while staying true to core principles. This work requires the same skills she has honed throughout her career: building coalitions, finding common ground, and maintaining relationships even across disagreement.

She serves on the Leadership Team for a gubernatorial campaign in Minnesota, bringing her organizational expertise and decades of experience building movements that bridge divides. This work reflects her belief that effective political leadership requires the same principles that guide all meaningful work: clarity of purpose, respect for different perspectives, and the courage to pursue ambitious goals while building trust across communities.

Faith & Community

Kim serves on the Leadership Team at Geetha Ashram, a Hindu temple in Minneapolis, where she is heavily involved in both the spiritual and organizational life of the community. This work connects her to her cultural heritage and Hindu traditions while also creating space for the community to gather, celebrate, and support one another.

Her spirituality is deeply rooted in Hindu philosophy and practices that emphasize dharma (righteous living), seva (selfless service), and the interconnectedness of all beings. These spiritual principles shape her approach to leadership and community building, informing how she shows up in every aspect of her work. The values of compassion, duty, and service that are central to Hindu tradition flow through everything she does—from her healthcare work to her political engagement to her community leadership.

Temple leadership isn't just about managing facilities or organizing events. It's about creating a spiritual home for families, preserving cultural traditions for the next generation, providing a place where people can find meaning and connection in their daily lives, and living out the spiritual values that sustain communities over time. These responsibilities have deepened her understanding of what truly sustains communities—not just institutions and programs, but the spiritual and cultural roots that give people purpose and belonging.

Connecting Communities

Whether working across international borders in healthcare, bridging cultural communities in Minnesota, or finding common ground in political spaces, Kim's life work has been about connection. She believes that differences (cultural, political, religious) are opportunities for growth rather than reasons for division.

Building bridges requires more than good intentions. It requires showing up consistently, listening deeply, finding genuine common ground, and having the courage to maintain relationships even when it's uncomfortable. It means bringing people together around shared purpose while respecting what makes each community unique.

This commitment shapes every role she takes on, every organization she serves, and every relationship she builds. The most important infrastructure we can build isn't made of brick and mortar but the web of relationships and trust that allows communities to flourish.
